The following is a list of a few working sheepdog
demonstrations open to the public.
These are all based in the UK
Mark Wylie and the Drakes of Hazard - Venues across the UK
Mark is a sheep farmer and successful trialist living and working on the western shores of Loch Lomond in Argyll, Scotland.
As well as running 500 + ewes in his fields and on the fells, Mark also gives informative and entertaining working sheepdog demonstrations with his flock of Indian Runner ducks
and a range of interesting obstacles for them to use.
He
demonstrates his skills as a dog handler and his dogs skills
at herding at venues all over the country and can be booked
to organise demonstrations of duck herding for parties and groups.

Richard Fawcett - Upper Wensleydale
Demonstrations in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales
Richard Fawcett, a local farmer and sheepdog handler, has been demonstrating his working sheepdogs on a regular basis for over 30 years at his farm in beautiful Upper Wensleydale, near Hawes. He has been involved in sheep dog trialing and demonstrations for many years and has featured on several TV programmes.
The demonstrations in 2018 will take place regardless of weather conditions every Thursday
between Hawes and Hardraw in upper Wensleydale. Duration approx. 1hour 15minutes.

Admission charge: £5.00 adult - children up to age 5 are free - aged 5 to 15 are £1.00.

David Kennard - Devon
The Borough Farm sheepdog and Falconry displays started on May 30th at Borough Farm in North Devon, near Woolacombe and Mortehoe
in North Devon.
2018 displays are every Wednesday evening at 6pm
from May 30th to September 5th.
•Adults £6.00, children £3.00 under 5’s free
•No need to book in advance
•Well behaved dogs are welcome
•There is under cover seating available at the farm, for those occasional damp evenings

Julie holds group demonstrations by appointment at her farm near Heriot in the
Scottish Borders.
Whether you want to see these dogs for pleasure or want to learn more about her
Natural Way method, Julie can adapt the type of demonstration to suit requirements.
She offers one that allows some hands on opportunities for the audience.
Private groups and coaches welcome.
Prices start at £35 for a group of 6 or less
For groups of 20 or less £6 per head
Groups above 20 £5 per head.

Mossdale Farm - Peebleshire
An opportunity to visit Mossdale Farm to see Highland Cattle up close and also to see a demonstration of Working Border Collies.
The sheepdog demonstration will show their dogs at work and include an explanation of the training of the dogs and the range of commands used.
There will be plenty of photo opportunities with the dogs and the Highland Cattle.
Visits can be arranged from May to October
The entry charge will be £5 per person.

Leault Working Sheepdogs - Aviemore
Leault Farm, Kincraig is 7 miles from Aviemore at the very heart of
the Scottish Highlands.
Demonstrations are held at
4pm each day (EXCEPT Saturdays), from 1st June through 31st October
Large Groups and Saturday Shows: please contact us to make an advance booking.
